Jewel is a professional Relationship and Intimacy Astrologer in the Portland/Vancouver area of Washington State. Jewel has extensive experience in several disciplines in addition to astrology, including psychology, behavioral science, human sexuality and human development. She offers a rational and compassionate approach to astrology that takes into account the entirety of the human condition. Jewel also offers several astrology courses each year. Jewel brings her professional knowledge, personal wisdom, compassion and sense of humor to her time with clients and her teaching.

I developed an interest in astrology at 13 years old when browsing in a mall bookstore. I discovered a book on the topic of the astrology of birthdays. As I turned the pages, my lifelong fascination with the cycles of life took on new meaning. I had found a system that enabled me to understand the patterns of life. I was hooked! 

My enthusiasm for astrology continued to grow as I did. In my college years I came into contact with a roommates Bulgarian Grandmother who was an experienced astrologer as well as a folk healer. I was fascinated by her wealth of esoteric knowledge as well as her grasp of psychology. This relationship was the foundation of my astrological training. I spent many hours learning from this insightful teacher. I was determined to

one day master astrology although it seemed to vast and complex to pursue as a career.

In my mid twenties I married and had a family, a boy and girl. I continued to study when time allowed as well as took courses and workshops. In my mid thirties as transiting Saturn squared my natal Saturn, I felt a calling to become a professional astrologer. I remember the day I made the choice clearly; I was standing at the stove making eggs in the early morning when I

had a thought,”I wonder if should become an astrologer?” My body answered me back with waves of emotion, heat and tears I could not control. I had conformation that came from inside.

I’m so glad I took a chance and followed my passion. It has led me to a life where I can make a difference. Astrology really is both my passion and my profession.
