Asteroid Hekate #100 is a Goddess of the Moon and very special influence in the birth chart. Hekate is where we go for answers and seek direction when we are lost. This is an ancient Goddess that has morphed in myth over time. In Wicca, Hekate is the archetypal maiden, woman and crone in one. The Goddess of magic. The Goddess of knowing. The Goddess of birth, mating and death. She is deeply female. Known for ushering those who died and entered into the underworld, Hekate was the one who lit the way in the dark with her lantern and dared to go where no one else would. She was both in the know and brave as Heck- ate ( I am seriously sorry, I could NOT help it! :)) This woman knew what others did not and it was revealed in the dark of Hades, the equivalent of the unconscious. Hekate stood at the crossroads of the living and the dead.
As the gatekeeper of the underworld, this Goddess was the one every soul looked to when they lay on the shady side of death. She existed in between worlds as the one who could unite the light with the dark, the living with the dead. She was relied upon to properly negotiate what could not be seen. Hekate showed the way when no one else could. In a birth chart, this asteroid shows where we can go to find answers. The direction we need to take is pointed to by Hekate. This entity can show us how we can become secure enough to rely on our own decisions and display the bravery to make our own choices. Intuition is also a facet of this asteroid, as Hekate is the emissary between the conscious and the unconscious mind. This Goddess trusts her feelings entirely and gives no credence to logic. This asteroid shows where our deepest self trust lies and can be developed. Hekate by sign and aspect will tell you where your gifts of deep knowing, trust and magic lie. How you can approach your own higher self for help is pointed to by this asteroid. My Hekate is in the 12th house in Leo directly opposite to Lilith and Fortuna in the 6th house in Aquarius. When I need answers, seek a deeper knowing, do not know where to turn, I need to go to my own deeper mind (12 th house)and trust my own instincts (Leo) even if it seems ego driven to do so. Being self assured enough (Lilith) to make that intuitive leap in my daily life (6 th house) and live on a higher plane while using the gifts of the the unconscious (12 the house) will keep me in touch with my own sense of knowing and bring rewards (Fortuna). Hekate hides in the unconscious in my chart and I must make a daily effort (6th house) to keep in touch with her so I can can have the confidence to assert (Lilith) my beliefs, no matter how illogical or instinctual (Leo). See? Interpretation is by aspect, house and sign. If Hekate is in the 1st house: you must learn to feel your truth in your physical body. Becoming sensitive enough to feel when something feels off in actual health of the body is the way you can know what is the right path to take. That knot in your stomach? That is Hekate telling you no. Those butterflies? Could be a yes. Hekate in the second house is about building self esteem through listening to the self. Doing the thing you though you could not do will build the self trust you need. When lost, look to what feels good. This will help you know what is right. Pleasure is a big clue to how Hekate operates in your chart. Hekate in the third house is about communication in crisis. When in doubt, you must talk to achieve a sense of direction. Self analysis will help show you what you need to know. Hekate in the fourth house is about finding the right path through patience and quiet. This is a very spiritual placement. Relying on females and maternal figures to impart the advice and care you need when you feel lost is key. Hekate in the fifth house shows how we can fall back on our sense of play for comfort. This placement reminds us not to take our trials too seriously and will show how we can lighten up or get trapped in a black cloud. How you can use your instincts to find your way is pointed to. Those who have the faith of a child often have a fifth house Hekate placement. Where we need to shed our naivety in order to see the true path before us is also shown. Hekate in the sixth house shows how we can achieve self trust in our daily life. Turning to the comfort of health practices for knowledge when we feel lost. Looking for wisdom in alternative Medicine, finding solace in loving pets , learning to communicate with life forms other than human when you need assistance. Hekate in the seventh house tells of needing to ask for help when the chips are down. Relying on the advice of others to help you find the way. Hekate in the eight house shows how we can learn to find wisdom through the crises of life. Deep knowing without knowing how is pointed to by this asteroid in this house. Looking to occult practices can show you how you can find your way. Going into that dark place within yourself can help you find the answers you seek. Your shadow self can tell all if you have the courage to meet it. Hekate in the ninth house shows how the wisdom of philosophy, the higher mind and education can show you the way. Meditation and study can be your guide when you don't know where to turn. Hekate in the 10th house shows how we are known for our own emotional confidence or lack of it. Turning to the father or a trusted male figure is often where we can find the help and advice we seek when we don't know where to turn. Learning to trust the voice of authority. Hekate in the 11th house is about turning to friends for advice and help when we feel lost. Friends can often be the voice of reason and comfort, and how we can use this support is shown. Hekate in the 12th house shows that you must turn to your own unconscious mind and trust the unseen when you feel lost or confused. Learning to trust that voice that lies at the far back of the mind is key. Not trusting ones own intuition is often the undoing of the person with Hekate in the 12th house. Comments are closed.
